Saaraa Khan Marries Ramayana's Lakshman Aka Sunil Lahri's Son Krish Pathak: Why Father Missed the Wedding

Television actor Saaraa Khan has begun a new chapter in her life with her long time partner Krish Pathak. The couple formalised their relationship through two ceremonies, a traditional Hindu wedding and a nikkah.

Their wedding album, shared on Instagram on December 5, offered a warm glimpse into the intimate celebrations.

A Traditional Hindu Ceremony Marked by Cultural Elegance

For the Hindu ritual, Saaraa, known for her work in the series Bidaai, chose a rich red bridal lehenga from the label Kalighata. Red carries great significance within Hindu traditions, representing prosperity and new beginnings. Her ensemble featured intricate gold embroidery and carried a classic bridal aesthetic.

She completed her look with layered gold jewellery, jhumkas, a nath, a maang tika, and a set of bangles. Krish complemented her attire in a burgundy sherwani decorated with detailed gold patterns. The couple looked radiant as they performed the sacred rituals around the mandap.

A Celebration Shared With Friends and Familiar Faces

Photos from the reception showed Saaraa posing with close friends such as Mrinal Navell, Deepshikha Nagpal, Tanaaz, and Sheen Savita Dass. The joyous atmosphere highlighted the couple's happiness and the support surrounding them as they stepped into married life.

Before marrying Krish, Saaraa was previously married to Ali Merchant. The relationship ended within a year, and the couple divorced in 2011.

Why Sunil Lahri Missed the Wedding

One notable detail that drew attention was the absence of actor Sunil Lahri, who played Lakshman in the classic television series Ramayana. Despite Krish being his son, Sunil did not attend the ceremonies. Reports indicate that Sunil Lahiri and Krish's mother, Bharti Pathak, separated when Krish was nine months old. Krish was raised by his mother, although he has continued to share a cordial relationship with his father.
