Ram Gopal Varma Muses on Baba Siddique Murder, Calls Out Gang's ‘Unbelievable’ Plot
Film director, screenwriter, and producer Ram Gopal Varma commented on the killing of former minister Baba Siddique on Monday, following the Lawrence Bishnoi gang's claim of responsibility for the high-profile murder, which has sent shockwaves through Maharashtra's political circles.
According to reports, the Bishnoi gang not only took credit for Siddique's murder but also issued threats against anyone assisting actor Salman Khan.

Ram Gopal Varma took to social media to share his thoughts, imagining what it would be like if a Bollywood movie were made based on the incident.
In a post on X, Varma wrote, "A LAWYER turned GANGSTER wants to take REVENGE for a DEER'S death by killing a SUPERSTAR and, as a WARNING, orders some of his GANG of 700, which he recruited through Facebook, to first kill a BIG POLITICIAN who is a close friend of the STAR. The POLICE can't catch him because he's under the protection of the GOVERNMENT in JAIL, and his spokesman speaks from ABROAD. If a Bollywood writer came up with a story like this, they'd be thrashed for writing the most unbelievable and ridiculous story ever. LAWRENCE BISHNOI was just a 5-YEAR-OLD KID when the deer was killed in 1998, and he held onto his grudge for 25 years. Now, at age 30, he claims his LIFE'S GOAL is to kill SALMAN as REVENGE for killing that DEER. Is this ANIMAL love at its PEAK, or is GOD playing a WEIRD JOKE?"
Earlier this year, members of the Bishnoi gang were involved in an incident outside Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai, where shots were fired.
Baba Siddique, aged 66, was shot outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office near Colgate Ground in Nirmal Nagar, Bandra East. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Two of the shooters, Gurmail Singh (23) from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested. However, a third shooter, Shiv Kumar Gautam, escaped the scene, and police are actively searching for him. Authorities are also looking for Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, suspected to be the handler, who remains at large.
In a Facebook post by Shibu Lonkar, believed to be associated with the Bishnoi gang member Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, Siddique was accused of being linked to India's most wanted terrorist, Dawood Ibrahim, and close to Salman Khan.
"We don't have any enmity with anyone, but those who support Salman Khan and the Dawood gang, settle your accounts," Lonkar warned in Hindi.
