Rakkasapuradhol OTT Release: Raj B Shetty's Kannada Film Likely To Drop On This Date

Raj B Shetty's latest Kannada thriller Rakkasapuradhol has begun its theatrical run on a fairly encouraging note. The film, which hit cinemas on February 6, has managed to draw decent footfalls in its opening days, backed by mostly positive word of mouth.

Early reactions suggest that audiences have connected with its tense atmosphere, grounded performances and slow-burn storytelling-elements that have become something of a signature for Raj B Shetty in recent years.

At the heart of Rakkasapuradhol is a gripping mystery set in a seemingly peaceful village that is suddenly shaken by a string of brutal murders. Raj B Shetty plays SI Shiva, a no-nonsense police officer sent to investigate the case. While the villagers are convinced that the killings are the work of a fearsome demon named Kolli Devva, Shiva refuses to be swayed by superstition. Instead, he relies on logic, evidence and methodical police work, putting him at odds with the deeply held beliefs of the community.

As the investigation progresses, the film steadily builds tension by blurring the lines between myth and reality. Zee Network has acquired both rights, which means the film will stream on ZEE5. The usual trends is that a Kannada movie takes 4-5 to make it to the digital platform.

While the makers are yet to announce an official streaming date, it is expected to be out on March 5.
