Priyanka Chopra's Remuneration For SS Rajamouli's Film: Check PeeCee's Salary Details For Rs 1000 Crore Film

In a groundbreaking move, Priyanka Chopra has reportedly secured a record-breaking remuneration for her role in the upcoming film directed by SS Rajamouli, starring Mahesh Babu. This fee not only surpasses her Bollywood contemporaries but also sets a new benchmark for actresses in the Indian film industry.

How Much Is Priyanka Chopra's Remuneration?

Well, she has been paid Rs 25 crore to pair up with Mahesh Babu in the mega-budget project. This makes her the highest paid actress in Indian movie. For context, Deepika Padukone was reportedly paid ₹13 crore for her role in "Kalki 2898 AD," while Janhvi Kapoor's compensation for "RC 16" is said to be over ₹10 crore. In contrast, leading Tollywood actresses like Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rashmika Mandanna, and Mrunal Thakur reportedly earn around ₹4 crore per film.

Interestingly, Rashmika Mandanna's remuneration has not witnessed a rise although she has delivered a couple of big hits and worked across film industries.

The rising paychecks of these actresses are not solely driven by their film roles. Their influence extends beyond cinema through international endorsements and massive social media followings. Deepika Padukone and Janhvi Kapoor boast millions of followers on platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), making them invaluable assets. Sridhar elaborated, "Their reach creates a huge viewership base, enhancing their brand equity. This justifies their high remunerations, and Telugu filmmakers see it as a worthy investment."

Priyanka's Fees More Than Rs 25 Crore?

Some reports suggest that Chopra's fee might be as high as ₹30 crore. Initially, the actress had demanded a heftier sum but settled after negotiations. Given the film's anticipated budget of around ₹1,000 crore, Chopra's compensation underscores her status as a bankable star.

Coming back to SS Rajamouli's movie, the director is returning after delivering an international hit in the form of RRR. The latest movie will be shot in the forests of Kenya. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is likely to be part of the project.

It is a two-part movie which is being funded by Lakshmi Narayana Kaza of Sri Durga Arts.
