Prakash Raj Supports Kunal Kamra Amid Threat Controversy With Tamil Nadu Viral Reference
In the midst of the ongoing controversy surrounding Kamra, actor Prakash Raj and comedian Kunal Kamra made headlines on Friday when Prakash Raj shared a humorous post that featured the two of them together.
The image, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), features the pair wearing black clothing and grinning broadly while posing for the camera. "Tamilnadu kaise pahunchneka bhai..??" was the caption for the photo. "Simple.. Auto mein @kunalkamra88 #justasking," which is a clear allusion to the widely shared audio clip on the internet.

The humorous post was made at a time when Kamra is in the news due to a fight that was caught on camera and went viral. A Shiv Sena member is heard in the video threatening the comedian because of a satirical video that contained comments about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. "Tu jidhar milega na b******e, tera bhi wohi haal hoga," the person allegedly says, referring to the studio vandalism where Kamra had filmed the segment.
In the recording, Kamra replies calmly, "Aaja Tamil Nadu, main yahi milunga." Unexpectedly, the caller asks again where Kamra is, and Kamra responds, "Tamil Nadu Aaja." When the perplexed person asks, "Abhi Tamil Nadu kaise pahunchega bhai?" it sparked a flurry of social media reactions and internet memes. Since then, many people have shared the recording, including Supriya Shrinate, a Congress leader.
The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted Kamra temporary relief amid the controversy. In relation to a Shiv Sena FIR, the court granted him protection from arrest until April 16. The case concerns a video clip in which Kamra is accused of making a satirical comment directed at Eknath Shinde.
