Popular comedian Bonda Mani, beloved for his side-splitting performances in over 270 Tamil films, passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 60. Battling kidney-related ailments for some time, he breathed his last at a Chennai hospital.
Ailing for some time, he reportedly fainted at his residence in Pozhichalur, Chennai, marking a distressing turn in his health.

On that fateful night, Mani collapsed at his Pozhichalur home and was swiftly rushed to a government hospital in Chrompet. Despite efforts, the medical professionals declared his passing.
Mani's body is being kept at his residence in Pozhichalur for friends, family, and fans to pay their respects. The final rites are scheduled to take place at a crematorium in Chrompet around 5 PM. He leaves behind his wife Malathi, a son, and a daughter, mourning the loss of an irreplaceable presence in their lives.
