Pavithra Gowda has emerged as the key figure in the murder of Renuka Swamy, who was brutally murdered on June 8.

Pavithra Gowda, who was relatively unknown until last year, gained sudden attention when an Instagram reel featuring her photos with Darshan went viral earlier this year. This reel, posted on January 24, 2024, also included her daughter from a previous marriage. In the post, Pavithra mentioned celebrating "10 years of relationship" with the 'Challenging Star.'

On her Instagram page, she captioned the images, "One decade down; forever to go.♥️♥️ #10year It's been 10 years of our relationship. Thank you ✨✨ @darshanthoogudeepashrinivas @khushigowda_7 #forever #loveforever #hardtimestogether #10years."

Following this social media post, Darshan's wife, Vijayalakshmi, publicly criticized Pavithra Gowda, highlighting the latter's past relationship with her former husband. Vijayalakshmi questioned Pavithra's intentions in an Instagram post, sparking a heated exchange. Subsequently, Pavithra faced intense backlash from Darshan's fans on all her social media platforms.

"I hope this woman has to come into her senses before posting somebody else's husband picture,it talks about her character and moral standing, knowing that the man is marrried she still choose to come and stay for their own personal needs and agenda... These images clearly show kushi gowda is the daughter of Pavithra and sanjay Singh....I generally don't take social media to raise voice over personal issues but I feel now it's time to raise my voice in the best interest of my family.... Ever since the tragic demise of Renuka Swamy, Pavithra Gowda has found herself thrust into the limelight, with her personal life becoming the subject of intense public scrutiny.

Renuka Swamy Murder Case

Pavithra Gowda is the main accused in Renuka Swamy's murder case allegedly by Darshan's aides.

Renukaswamy operated a fake Instagram account under the handle @goutham_ks_1990, through which he sent obscene messages, photographs, and explicit images of his private parts to numerous women, particularly those active in creating reels in the Kannada space. Two women have come forward confirming they received such messages and images from this account. One of them reported the matter to a police official in March 2024, but no action was taken, The Hindu reported citing sources.

Renukaswamy also allegedly sent similar explicit messages and images to Pavithra. This reportedly angered Darshan, leading to Renukaswamy's murder.

He was kidnapped and brutally assaulted at a shed in Kamakshi Palya, leading to his death.

A total of 17 people including actor Darshan has been arrested in connection with the case.
