Most Awaited Tamil Movies Of 2024: 'GOAT', 'Vidaa Muyarchi', 'Kanguva' & More
As a new day unfolds, it brings forth the dawn of a new year, signaling the commencement of fresh beginnings.
Kollywood is poised for another successful year, with major releases already lined up.

Expectations are soaring for numerous upcoming films. Let's take a look at the list of top 10 most-awaited Tamil films of 2024:
'Captain Miller':
Starring Dhanush and directed by Arun Matheshwaran, this period film set in the pre-independence era showcases Dhanush as a rebel fighting colonizers. Kannada actor Shivaraj Kumar has an extended cameo, and the film is scheduled for release on Pongal 2024.
'Vettaiyan':
Rajinikanth and TJ Gnanavel Raja's film, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati, promises to be a Rajinikanth film with ample space for his iconic style and mass moments.
'Kanguva':
Suriya ventures into the pan-Indian arena with this film directed by Siruthai Siva. Producer KE Gnanavel Raja's ambitious plans include dubbing the film in 38 languages. Whether it is a complete period venture or includes a historical segment remains unclear.
'Vidaa Muyarchi'
Ajith, who has recently opted for one film per year, has teamed up with Magizh Thirumeni. This film aims to turn things around for the actor after his 'Thunivu' failed to set box-office on fire.
'Viduthalai Part 2':
The second part of Vetrimaaran's successful film 'Viduthalai' is set to premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. This installment promises a deeper exploration into the lives of vigilante Vaathiyar (Vijay Sethupathi) and novice police constable Kumaresan (Soori).
G.O.A.T.
Anticipation is at its peak for Vijay's upcoming film 'The Greatest of All Time' with Venkath Prabhu, a collaboration that has been teased since the director's work on 'Mankatha' with Ajith. Boasting an intriguing cast, including 80s' sensation Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Laila, and Sneha, this film has captured the attention not only of Vijay's fans but also the masses.
'Thangalaan'
Another production by KE Gnanavel Raja, featuring Pa Ranjith and Vikram, is set in Kolar Gold Mines during the pre-independence era. Much like Ranjith's previous works, 'Madras' and 'Kaala,' 'Thangalaan' explores the politics of land and ownership, releasing on January 26.
'Indian 2':
After years in the making, this much-anticipated flick is expected to finally hit the screens in 2024. Directed by Shankar, it is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster 'Indian,' featuring Kamal Haasan as a patriotic vigilante.
