Kannada-Telugu TV Actor Charith Balappa Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

Television actor Charith Balappa, known for his roles in popular Kannada and Telugu serials, has been arrested by the RR Nagar police in Bengaluru following serious allegations of sexual assault and harassment.

According to the complaint, Charith Balappa allegedly forced a young woman into a physical relationship by professing his love for her. The victim further claimed that he, along with his associates, forcibly entered her residence and harassed her. Based on these allegations, the police took action and arrested the actor.

In addition to sexual assault, Charith Balappa has also been accused of extortion. Reports suggest that he allegedly demanded money from the woman, threatening to leak her private photos and videos if she refused to comply. As a result, a case has been registered against him under multiple charges, including sexual assault, criminal intimidation, and physical assault.

This is not the first time Charith Balappa has faced legal trouble. His ex-wife, Manjushree, had previously filed a complaint against him, alleging that he had threatened her over divorce compensation. In June 2024, an NCR (Non-Cognizable Report) was registered against him at the Sarjapur police station.

The police are currently investigating the matter further, and additional legal proceedings are expected in the coming days.
