'Kaatera' 3 Day Box Office Collection: Darshan-Starrer Off To A Solid Start
Darshan's newly-released Kannada film 'Kaatera' has helped Sandalwood to end the year 2023 on a high note as the movie has made a record collection.
Rockline Productions has officially announced that the movie has minted Rs 58.8 crore at the box office.

As per the production house, the movie minted Rs 19.79 crore on the opening day. The business witnessed a marginal dip on Saturday as it earned Rs 17.35 crore. The movie posted its best figures on Sunday by grossing Rs 20.94 crore.
Following a great response in Karnataka, the makers are now planning to release the Darshan-starrer in foreign countries. Speaking to Cinema Express, producer Rockline Venkatesh said, "Kaatera will premiere in Dubai on January 6, with a grand launch event-an elaborate 'Kaatera festival' with the team in attendance."
Further, the movie is scheduled for a global theatrical release, targeting approximately 9 countries, which include Germany, the UK, the USA, Canada, and Ireland. The date of release will be announced soon.
The producer has also plans to dub the movie in other languages. "Kantara is a recent example-a Kannada film later released in multiple languages, achieving massive success. Likewise, Kaatera, with its universal themes appealing to diverse audiences, transcends language barriers. Highlighting farmer-centric real incidents, it's in high demand for dubbed versions in various languages across different states," Venkatesh added.
Directed by Tharun Sudhir, the movie marks the acting debut of Aradhana, daughter of late producer Ramu and yesteryear actress Malashri. Jagapathi Babu, Shruthi, Kumar Govind, Vaijanath Biradar, and others are part of the cast.
