Junior OTT Release Date: When Will Sreeleela's Kannada-Telugu Film Be Released Online?

Kireeti Reddy (son of former Karnataka minister Gaali Janardhan Reddy) and Sreeleela's Junior has wrapped up its first week in theatres, and the numbers are in-despite facing stiff competition from big releases like Ekka, Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and Raj B Shetty-backed Su From So, the film is still holding on in select screens across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

The Radha Krishna-directed drama has raked in close to ₹8 crore (net) domestically in its opening week, with Karnataka contributing around ₹2.5 crore and Andhra-Telangana pulling in nearly ₹7 crore. Add to that ₹1.6 crore from the rest of India, and Junior's gross total now stands at ₹10 crore-not bad for a film battling it out in a crowded release window.

With superstar Ravichandran in a pivotal role and Genelia Deshmukh (remember her bubbly, iconic roles?) making a strong comeback as a corporate powerhouse, Junior has more than just its lead pair going for it. The film's soundtrack, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, has already given us the viral hit Viral Vayyari, while KK Senthil Kumar's cinematography and Peter Hein's action sequences add to the slick packaging.

The story follows Abhi (Kireeti Reddy), a carefree college kid whose life takes a turn when he falls for Spoorthi (Sreeleela) and lands an internship under the ambitious Vijay Soujanya (Genelia). But things get intense when Abhi stumbles upon a dark secret from Soujanya's past-what is it, and how does it change their dynamic?

OTT Release on the Horizon?

While Junior continues its theatrical run, whispers about its digital premiere are getting louder. If industry patterns hold, the film could land on Amazon Prime Video by August 18, following the usual four-week window.
