Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, like previous years, visited the Tirupati temple to mark her late mother and legendary actress Sridevi's birth anniversary.

Taking to Instagram, Janhvi shared three heartfelt pictures with the caption, "Happy birthday Mumma (red heart emoji) I love you." The second photo was a cherished childhood moment, where young Janhvi, dressed in a white top with matching ribbons in her pigtails, was embraced by Sridevi, who wore a beige top. The third image featured Janhvi's traditional look from her Tirupati visit on Tuesday. She wore a yellow silk sari paired with a turquoise blouse adorned with golden prints and a yellow border, accessorized with golden earrings, a necklace, and a kamarband (waist bracelet). Janhvi closed her eyes as if making a wish, with a tilak on her forehead.

In the viral video doing rounds on social media, Janhvi was seen at the world famous Hindu temple, accompanied by her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya. He was seen wearing a 'veshti' as they performed a dandvat pranam in front of the idol, before leaving the temple premises together, surrounded by tight security.

Meanwhile, Janhvi's younger sister, actor Khushi Kapoor, shared a childhood photo on Instagram Stories featuring herself, Janhvi, and their mother Sridevi. Their father, producer Boney Kapoor, also paid tribute by posting a picture of Sridevi from her 2012 film "English Vinglish," captioning it, "Happy birthday jaan (hug emoji)."

Revered Indian actress, Sridevi was celebrated for her versatility and she left an indelible mark with her performances in films across multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Some of her her iconic roles in movies were: 'Chandni,' 'Mr. India,' and 'English Vinglish'.

Sridevi tragically passed away in 2018 in a drowning accident.
