The advance booking for Vijay's highly anticipated film 'Greatest of All Time' (GOAT) has created a buzz across the country, shattering records and drawing unprecedented interest. The initial response has been so overwhelming that the online ticket booking platform BookMyShow experienced a crash due to the sheer volume of traffic as fans rushed to secure their seats.

In Chennai alone, a staggering 1.50 lakh tickets have already been sold for the film's opening day, raking in over Rs 2.10 crore from advance sales. As per the predictions, the movie has already earned over Rs 10 crore in the state from advance booking.

The advance booking, which began on September 1, has seen a phenomenal response, with around 8 lakh tickets sold in the city and projections indicating that the film could generate approximately Rs 10 crore from advance bookings by the end of the day for the 10-day period in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

Ruban Mathivanan, who manages GK Cinemas, highlighted the excitement on X (formerly Twitter), saying: "🔥 Thalapathy fans, #GOAT bookings now open at GK Cinemas! 🐐 Vera level experience awaits, book your seats today! 🎉💥 #GKcinemas #Thalapathy" #GOATatGK. Similarly, Rohini Screens posted: "#GOAT is on track to become the all-time highest pre-booked movie at #FansFortRohini! 🎟️🔥" The film has already set a record for the fastest 25,000 pre-sale tickets sold.

The craze for 'GOAT' extends beyond Chennai, with the film receiving strong advance bookings in major cities like Bengaluru and Kochi.

Overall, the BMS has sold over 5 lakh tickets so far.

The international response has also been impressive. In North America, 'GOAT' has surpassed the premiere gross of 'Beast', with advance sales reaching $710,000 and closing in on the $1 million mark. In the UK, 43,500 tickets have been sold through advance bookings, reflecting the film's global appeal.

As 'GOAT' gears up for its release, the phenomenal advance booking figures underscore the immense anticipation and excitement surrounding Vijay's latest film, positioning it as one of the biggest releases of the year.
