Dua Lipa's Mashup: Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s Son Upset Over Father Not Credited For 'Wo Ladki Jo' Song
Pop sensation Dua Lipa recently made waves not just for her electrifying concert in Mumbai but also for the unexpected Bollywood twist in her performance.
The global star surprised her audience by performing to a fan-made mashup of her hit track 'Levitating' and Shah Rukh Khan's iconic song 'Woh Ladki Jo' from the film 'Baadshah' during her gig in India on Saturday night.

However, the mashup sparked discontent from the song's original singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya and his son, Jay Bhattacharya, who expressed frustration over the lack of recognition given to the artists behind the track.
While social media was abuzz with excitement, and videos of the 'Levitating x Woh Ladki Jo' mashup flooded the internet, Jay Bhattacharya criticised media outlets and users for failing to credit his father.
In a post on Instagram, he wrote:
"The problem is that no one talks about it. What happened to 'Woh Ladki Jo' - Abhijeet? Unfortunately, we live in a country where not one news outlet or Instagram page has mentioned the voice and the artists of this song. Why has it always been about actors in this country? I'm sure when @dualipa heard this song she must have heard it, not seen it, and appreciated the man who sang this song. And yes, it is not SRK."
He further added, "It is @abhijeetbhattacharya and @anumalikmusic. I'm sorry, but this song is called 'Woh Ladki Jo sabse alag hai' - Abhijeet, wherever you search for it. Somehow, the media in this country never lets a singer get his due, and then people ask me why I don't try to sing for Bollywood. This is not about Shah Rukh Khan-I am his biggest fan ever. This is about our audience and media, who don't support the singers of our country like they do in the West."
The post was reshared by Abhijeet on his Instagram Story, along with other fan tributes.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa has moved on to the next leg of her tour.
Following her high-energy performance in India, she is set to perform in Seoul. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, she wrote, "Thank you Mumbai!!!!! Off to our next and FINAL stop of the Asia run... SEOUL!!!!!" alongside several photos from her time in Mumbai.
