Darshan Thoogudeepa And Others Get Relief In Jetlag Party Case
Kannada Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa , along with Dolly Dhananjay, Chikkanna, Abhishek Ambareesh, producer and actor Rockline Venkatesh, director Tarun Sudhir, and music director Hari Krishna have been cleared of allegations of violating COVID-19 regulations by partying late at night.
What was the case about?

The case involves allegations that Jetlag Bar and Grill pub near Orion Mall remained open beyond its permitted hours on January 4, serving liquor and playing loud music until 3 am, despite supposed closure at 12:30 am. Reports indicate that police had visited the bar at 12:30 am and ordered its closure. Darshan and other celebrities had gathered at the rooftop bar to celebrate the success of Darshan's recent film "Kaatera," which was released on December 29 and has grossed nearly Rs 50 crore at the box office.
However, investigations by the police revealed a different story.
According to the chargesheet submitted to the court, the gathering was a dinner party, not a late-night alcohol party. Meanwhile, no charges were filed against the actors, including Darshan and producer Rockline Venkatesh. The chargesheet reportedly names the owner and manager of the Jetlag pub instead.
Earlier statements by all eight individuals involved, including Darshan, corroborated the claim that it was just a dinner, not a late-night party. These statements likely played a key role in the outcome of the investigation.
