Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Update: Is Netflix Doing Away With Urvashi Rautela's Scenes With Balakrishna?

In a strange development, the scenes of Urvashi Rautela have been reportedly deleted from Daaku Maharaaj from the OTT version.

Urvashi Rautela's Scene Deleted?

Not just one or two scenes, her entire portion has been removed from the OTT version, NDTV reported citing sources. The movie is scheduled to hit the OTT platform on Friday, February 21.

The development has come as a shock to her fans considering that her 'Dabidi Dibidi' with Balakrishna became a chartbuster of the year. Her chemistry with the lead actor is one of the highlights of the Telugu flick.

Prior to this development, a controversy broke out after the official streaming announcement poster went online, sparking debate over the omission of actress Urvashi Rautela. Despite playing an important character in the film and doing a big role in its success, Urvashi was absent from the promotional artwork, while actors like Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath were featured.

Fans quickly noticed, flooding social media with confusion and witty remarks. Some questioned how the movie's most dedicated promoter was missing, while others tagged Urvashi directly, asking if she was even in the film. In response to the backlash, Netflix released individual character slides, notably featuring Urvashi twice-seemingly to rectify the earlier omission.

The film's story unfolds in a rural setting, where MLA Thirumala Naidu (Ravi Kishan) secretly runs a cocaine operation on Krishna Murthy's (Sachin Khedekar) tea estate. When Krishna Murthy discovers the illegal activities, chaos follows. Enter Nanaji (Balakrishna), a driver with a hidden agenda-to protect Krishna Murthy's granddaughter, Vaishnavi (Veda Agarwal), and take on the corrupt MLA and his drug empire.

However, Daaku Maharaaj is coming with some extra goodies! Just like Pushpa 2 dropped a reloaded version with 20+ minutes of unseen footage, Daaku Maharaaj will also have an additional song that wasn't part of the theatrical release.
