Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Date: Is Urvashi Rautela's Hit Movie Really Releasing On Netflix Today?

Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela's Telugu movie Daaku Maharaaj had a successful run at theatres. Now, the hit movie is ready to entertain bigger audience with its release on the OTT platform.

Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune, the film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, alongside Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Urvashi Rautela, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Pradeep Rawat, Sachin Khedekar, Shine Tom Chacko, Viswant Duddumpudi, Aadukalam Naren and Ravi Kishan.

The movie was released in theatres on 12 January to coincide with the Sankranthi festival. In 25 days, the movie has minted Rs 90+ crore (nett) in India alone from its theatrical run.

Daaku Maharaaj Story:

In a village, MLA Thirumala Naidu (Ravi Kishan) secretly grows cocaine on Krishna Murthy's (Sachin Khedekar) tea estate. When Krishna Murthy confronts him, tensions rise, and Nanaji (Balakrishna) enters as a driver, protecting Krishna Murthy's granddaughter Vaishnavi (Veda Agarwal) while standing against the MLA and drug mafia. As the Maharashtra police pursue Nanaji, his hidden past unravels, revealing connections to Balawanth Singh Thakur (Bobby Deol) and the mysterious Daaku Maharaaj, leading to a dramatic showdown of justice and revenge.

Overall, Daaku Maharaaj is an engaging action drama with a stylish presentation and well-executed action and emotional moments. However, a predictable plot, underdeveloped characters, and a sluggish second half hold it back. Despite these flaws, it remains an entertaining watch.

Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Date

Now, the movie is gearing up for the OTT release. As per the reports, Netflix has acquired the digital rights of the movie for Rs 25 crore.

Going by the buzz, the Balakrishna-starrer is scheduled to be released on Sunday. However, there is no update either from the makers or the OTT platform.

Hence, it looks like the rumours of Daaku Maharaaj releasing on OTT today are not true. The streaming partner might announce the date soon.
