Chhaava OTT Release: Check Vicky Kaushal-Starrer's Online Release Date

Vicky Kaushal's historical action film "Chhaava" has established itself as the highest-grossing film of 2025, breaking numerous records since its theatrical debut. Based on Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel, the film chronicles the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, "Chhaava" was initially released in Hindi on February 14, 2025, with dubbed Telugu versions following later. Nearly two months after its release, the film continues to generate substantial box office revenue.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, "Chhaava" has amassed over Rs 700 crore globally, with more than Rs 500 crore earned in India alone. These impressive figures highlight the film's broad appeal and engaging narrative.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna alongside Kaushal. Critics have praised the film for its grandeur and execution, with India TV's Jaya Dwivedie giving it 3.5 out of 5 stars and describing it as a must-watch theatrical experience despite some minor flaws.

For those who missed seeing it in theaters, "Chhaava" is expected to debut on Netflix approximately 45 days after its theatrical release. While an official announcement hasn't been made, rumors suggest the film will be available for streaming starting April 11, 2025.

Prior to "Chhaava," Vicky Kaushal starred in "Bad Newz" with Triptii Dimri and Amy Virk. His upcoming project, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Love and War," will feature him alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026.
