Ashneer Grover Fires Back At Salman Khan Over 'Doglapan' Comment on Bigg Boss
In a striking incident on the latest episode of Bigg Boss 18, Salman Khan, a stalwart of Bollywood, found himself in a heated dialogue with Ashneer Grover, the former judge of Shark Tank India. This confrontation was rooted in Grover's previously aired grievances about Khan, notably including criticisms made during a podcast and various social media postings.
Salman Khan took this opportunity to address these issues directly, questioning Grover's earlier statements concerning their professional engagement and the figures cited therein. Grover, known for his candidness, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to articulate his stance, emphasizing his regard for Khan's business savvy while defending the statements he made.

Grover, in his clarification on X, underscored his previous commendations of Khan as an exemplary host and actor, particularly in the context of Bigg Boss. He reiterated his positive remarks about Khan's business insight and personal brand, stating unequivocally that his comments were meant to be constructive, not derogatory. Grover also took this chance to affirm the accuracy of the deal figures he had mentioned and shed light on their initial 2019 meeting concerning a brand collaboration. By posting a photograph from their meeting, Grover aimed to substantiate his narrative and dispel any misconceptions regarding his invitation to Bigg Boss.
The origin of the friction between Grover and Khan can be traced back to Grover's participation in the Vagehra Vagehra podcast. It was there that he divulged an unpleasant experience involving Khan's manager during discussions of a potential brand partnership. Grover felt slighted when he was discouraged from taking a photograph with Khan, a request that was reportedly denied due to Khan's preferences. This incident, particularly Grover's use of the term "heropanti" to describe Khan's attitude, sparked a flurry of discussions and speculations about the nature of their relationship.
During their exchange on Bigg Boss, Khan highlighted Grover's misleading representation of their brand collaboration and challenged the veracity of his claims. Grover, in response, admitted that choosing Khan as a brand ambassador was a calculated move on his part and conceded that he may have come across as disrespectful in his previous comments. By acknowledging this, Grover hoped to clear the air, stating, "It was one of the smarter moves," and further explained that his initial tone might have misconstrued his actual respect for Khan's business intellect and clarified the context of their dealings.
