Amid Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan Divorce Rumors, Nimrat Kaur Smiles As He Praises His Wife
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been the subject of divorce rumors recently, but the couple has not yet commented on the speculation. In the meantime, an old video interview featuring Abhishek and Nimrat Kaur during the promotions for their film Dasvi has gone viral, where Abhishek expresses his admiration for Aishwarya.
In the interview with Bollywood Hungama, he shared, "My wife is exceptional at that. She's always been an amazing emotional support for me. I've been very lucky, and my entire family has been. The wonderful thing about having a life partner like Aishwarya is that she is from the business. She understands it. She has been doing it slightly longer than I have, so she knows the world and has been through it all. It's nice when you come home after a challenging day to know there's someone who gets it."

Abhishek went on to highlight Aishwarya's strength, saying, "I have always noticed that she has managed to navigate some of the most difficult times in her life with utmost dignity and grace. I really admire that about her. Actors are emotional people, and we can be very hyper-sensitive. There are times when we might want to lash out, but I've never seen her do that." He concluded by stating that he feels "very, very lucky" to have her as a partner.
The interview caught attention for Nimrat's playful reminiscence about her "school love." She shared snippets of her early romance, saying, "I don't want to say too much because the guy is married now and has kids. It wouldn't be right to say anything that could get him into trouble." While keeping her ex-lover's identity under wraps, Nimrat described him as "studious, a little shy, very sweet, but also a bit of a bad boy. He used to help me with my chemistry homework."
Abhishek Bachchan chimed in with a lighthearted comment, asking, "Was he your teacher?" Nimrat chuckled and clarified, "No, no, he wasn't my teacher. He just assisted me with my chemistry assignments. I remember he had beautiful hair that would flop around in school."
The conversation took a humorous turn when the host inquired about why their relationship didn't advance. With a playful smile, Nimrat responded, "Who said I didn't take it to the next level?" Abhishek, taken aback, reacted with a laugh, saying, "Oh, God! Good one!"
The couple has been married for 17 years and shares a daughter named Aaradhya.
