Tamil Nadu Weather: Rain Might Play Spoilsport To Diwali Celebration In These Districts
Heavy rains in several districts across Tamil Nadu dampen the Diwali festival celebration.
The Regional Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the next few days during the Diwali festival. These districts are: Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli & Kanyakumari districts of Tamilnadu and Karaikal area.

However, light to moderate rain in many places with thunderstorms and lightning in one or two places is likely to occur over Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area, the weather-monitoring agency said in its latest press release on Friday.
Diwali is celebrated between November 12 to November 14, this year.
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on November 15 which is expected to bring rain across the state, the RMD noted.
As far as the Chennai weather is concerned, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is predicted in some areas in the next 48 hours.
"Sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light /Moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur in some areas. Maximum temperature is likely to be 31- 32°C and minimum temperature is likely to be 25-26°C," the RMD said.
