Tamil Nadu Rains: When & Where Cyclone Fengal Make Landfall? Predicted Time Revealed
24-districts are predicted to get heavy rains in Tamil Nadu on Saturday while 25 districts are predicted to get heavy rains on Sunday.
Cyclone Fengal has started making landfall in the Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday. "The latest observations indicate that the forward sector of spiral bands associated with the cyclone has entered into the land. It is likely to move west-southwestwards and cross north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram close to Puducherry as a cyclonic storm with a wind speed of 70-80 kmph gusting to 90 kmph during next 3 to 4 hours," the Indian Meteorological Department said in its latest post.

However, weather blogger Pradeep John, also known as the "Tamil Nadu Weatherman," predicts that heavy rainfall and strong winds will lash the northern coast as the cyclone moves closer. He noted that cloud formations over the sea are creating sudden downpours along the coastal areas.
"Next band of clouds is developing rain should start in KTCC (Chennai) again. As long as cyclone is in sea, it will create clouds suddenly and push them towards land.
Note Landfall might not happen today and will be pushed to tomorrow," weather blogger R Pradeep John.
Cyclone Fengal has finally taken shape and is anticipated to make landfall between Mahabalipuram near Chennai and Karaikal in Puducherry. The storm is expected to bring intense rainfall and strong winds, affecting the entire northern coast of Tamil Nadu.
According to the predictive animation from the Zoom Earth app, the cyclone is likely to make landfall around 5 AM on Sunday morning. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to brace for heavy weather conditions as the storm advances towards the coast.
