Heavy Rains In Chennai Today: Check Weather Report For Next Few Days
Several areas in Chennai witnessed heavy rains leading to waterlogging. Following 1.5 hours of continuous rain, roads were flooded in many places including at the new bus stand in Kilambakkam, and Kuralbattai GST Road.
This also affected traffic movements. Visuals doing rounds on social media show commuters struggling to ride their vehicles through knee-deep water on the roads.

However, the situation is expected to remain the same as the IMD has predicted that Chennai and many other places in Tamil Nadu will witness rains till December 5.
Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Sri Lanka and the neighbourhood in the lower tropospheric levels and the above low-pressure System, light to moderate rainfall is
likely to occur at many places over Tamilnadu and over Puducherry and Karaikal with isolated heavy rain over the coastal and adjoining districts from November 29 to December 3.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Pudukkottai districts of Tamilnadu and Karaikal area.
December 4 Weather Predictions
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Villupuram districts. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Ranipet, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur and Thanjavur districts of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
December 5 Weather Predictions
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chennai, Chengalpattu and Villupuram districts of Tamilnadu. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur and Pudukkottaidistricts of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
Squally weather with wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph likely to prevail over South Andaman Sea and adjoining North Andaman Sea. Rough to Very Rough sea condition is likely over these sea areas. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these sea areas. Hence, fishermen are advised not to venture into these sea areas till December 5.
