Has Vijay Become The Only Challenger To Stalin In Tamil Nadu, Outpacing Annamalai, EPS? Check Survey Findings
Will it be MK Stalin vs Thalapathy Vijay in the next Tamil Nadu state elections? Are Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS)-led AIADMK and Annamalai's BJP not the real challengers for the ruling party? The finding of a survey has indicated that the battle for the CM post is mainly between MK Stalin and new entrant to politics, Vijay, founder of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
The survey reports come amid Vijay declaring that the TVK is the only challenger to the DMK.

Who Is Most Preferred Choice For Next CM In Tamil Nadu?
CVoter survey claims that MK Stalin continues to be the most preferred choice for the CM post, with 27 per cent of respondents picking him for the top post. Vijay comes second with 18 per cent votes. EPS and K Annamalai are in the next two positions with 9 and 10 per cent, respectively.
Vijay's rise as the second-most preferred leader underscores his growing political influence, despite entering the politics a year ago. His recent comments that TVK is the only challenger to the ruling DMK gains weight with these findings.
However, Annamalai, who has been aggressively positioning the BJP as an alternative force in Tamil Nadu, finds himself trailing in fourth place. While the BJP, on its own, crossed double-digit vote share in the last Lok Sabha elections, registering its best performance to date, , the latest survey findings highlights the BJP's struggles to challenge the Dravidian dominance in the state.
What Do Public Think About Stalin-led DMK's Performance?
Public sentiment on the Tamil Nadu government's performance presents a mixed picture. While 15 per cent of respondents reported being "very much satisfied" with Stalin's governance and 36 per cent were "satisfied to some extent," 25 per cent expressed complete dissatisfaction. A similar trend is observed in Stalin's individual performance, where 22 per cent were "very much satisfied," 33 per cent were "satisfied to some extent," and 22 per cent were "not at all satisfied."
As for EPS, only 8 per cent of respondents were "very much satisfied" with his performance as Leader of the Opposition, while 27 per cent were "satisfied to some extent." However, 32 per cent expressed dissatisfaction.
Top Poll Issue
The survey also shed light on voter priorities, with women's security emerging as the top issue at 15 per cent, followed by inflation (12 per cent), drug and alcohol abuse (10 per cent), and unemployment (8 per cent).
With the elections still some time away, these early trends suggest a shift in Tamil Nadu's political landscape. Vijay's growing traction hints at a changing dynamic, while Annamalai's struggle to gain significant ground signals challenges for the BJP's expansion in the state.
