Everyone Who Ate Laddus Is Still Alive, Right? Seeman On Tirupati Laddu Controversy
NTK coordinator Seeman on Saturday questioned the national attention surrounding the Tirupati laddu controversy, despite the fact that those who consumed the laddus allegedly made with adulterated ghee have not suffered any harm.
"Everyone who ate the laddus is still alive, right? Then why is this a national problem?" Seeman was quoted as saying by DTnext.

Tirupati laddus, known worldwide for their religious significance and exceptional taste, have become the center of controversy due to allegations of animal fat, specifically "beef tallow" and "lard," being found in the ghee used to prepare them. This has sparked concerns about both health and religious integrity.
The temple produces around 3.5 lakh laddus daily, with each costing nearly Rs 40 to make. The recipe calls for large amounts of premium ingredients, including 400-500 kg of ghee, 750 kg of cashew nuts, 500 kg of raisins, and 200 kg of cardamom. The use of high-quality materials underscores the significance of the ghee's source in maintaining the laddus' revered status among devotees.
Seeman added that rather than turning this into a major issue, the government could simply warn the ghee suppliers to improve their quality or assign the contract to another company. "There are plenty of problems caused by those in power. Why is no one talking about that?" he questioned.
He concluded that all inquiries regarding the quality of the laddus and the alleged adulteration should be directed at the company responsible for supplying the ghee.
There are five ghee suppliers (Premier Agri Foods, Kriparam Diary, Vaishnavi, Sri Parag Milk, and AR Dairy) to the TTD among which AR Dairy, a Tamil Nadu-based company, has been found to have animal fat in its cow ghee, (TTD) executive officer J Syamala Rao said.
Meanwhile, actor Prakash Raj's post questioning Pawan Kalyan's tweet on the issue has garnered a lot of attention. In a post on X, he wrote, "Dear@PawanKalyan
...It has happened in a state where you are a DCM .. Please Investigate ..Find out the Culprits and take stringent action. Why are you spreading apprehensions and blowing up the issue Nationally ... We have enough Communal tensions in the Country. (Thanks to your friends in the Center )#justasking."
However, another actor Vishnu Manchu has given a strong reply to Prakash Raj's comment.
"Sri @prakashraaj, please clam the heck down. The Tirumala Laddu is not just prasadam, it's a symbol of faith for millions of Hindus like me. Sri @PawanKalyan, the Deputy CM, has rightly called for thorough investigation and action to ensure the protection of such sacred traditions. While you're at it, perhaps reflect on where the real communal color is being added? #StayInYourLane," he wrote.
