Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Lauds Safe Landing of Air India Express Flight IX613

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin praised the captain and crew of Air India Express Flight IX613 for their skilful handling of a mid-air technical issue that ensured the safety of all passengers on board.

The Sharjah-bound flight, departing from Tiruchirappalli on Friday evening, encountered a technical glitch shortly after takeoff, prompting the pilots to turn back and make a safe landing at Tiruchirappalli Airport.

Responding to the incident, Stalin shared on X, "I am relieved to hear that the #AirIndiaExpress flight has landed safely. Upon learning of the landing gear issue, I coordinated an emergency meeting with officials and instructed them to implement all necessary safety measures, including deploying fire engines, ambulances, and medical assistance."

Stalin also directed the District Collector to ensure the continued safety and well-being of all passengers and to provide any additional support required.

Following standard protocol, fire tenders, rescue teams, and ambulances were stationed at the airport as a precaution, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) closely monitored the situation.
