What Drove Bengaluru CEO Suchana Seth To Allegedly Kill Her 4-Year-Old Son?
Bengaluru's Suchana Seth, the CEO of The Mindful AI Lab, was arrested near Chitradurga in Karnataka on Monday while carrying her four-year-old son's body in a bag. As per Goa DGP Jaspal Singh's statement to India Today, she stands accused of the alleged murder of her four-year-old son in Goa.
According to Goa Police, Seth allegedly committed the crime in a Candolim hotel room, reportedly motivated by the desire to prevent her ex-husband from meeting their son. The couple married in 2010 and their son was born in 2019, but divorced in 2020.

The court ruling allowed the father visitation rights with their son on Sundays. The incident unfolded when the hotel staff became suspicious as the woman checked in with her son but later departed alone.

According to Calangute police station Inspector Paresh Naik, Seth checked into a Candolim service apartment on January 6 with her son. After two days, expressing intent to travel to Bengaluru for work, she arranged a taxi despite staff suggesting a cheaper flight option.
When the staff discovered bloodstains in her room after she check out of the hotel, they immediately informed the Goa police. They also noted Seth's departure without her son and carrying an unusually heavy bag.
Upon inquiry, Seth attributed the bloodstains to her menstrual cycle, claiming her son was with a friend in Margao. However, investigation revealed the provided address was false.
The police contacted the taxi driver heading to Bengaluru and redirected him to the nearest police station in Chitradurga, Karnataka, where she was briefly detained.
Chitradurga SP Dharmender Kumar Meena stated that upon searching the vehicle, the child's body was found, and she was held until Goa police arrived.
A Calangute police team rushed to Chitradurga, securing a transit remand to transfer Seth to Goa. Post-mortem procedures are scheduled in Hiriyur, Chitradurga, with a Goa police team present.
Seth's husband in Jakarta, Venkat Raman, has been informed by the police.
