When Will the Vidhana Soudha Tours Start?

The Karnataka government is aiming to launch the guided tours by mid-2025. Infrastructure work is already underway, and an official announcement is expected shortly.

Guided Tours

A new permanent lighting system has recently been installed at the Vidhana Soudha, enhancing the beauty of the building, especially in the evenings. To leverage this attraction, the Tourism Department has curated a "Guided Tour" that aims to provide insight into the architecture, history, and functioning of the legislative complex. The initiative is expected to appeal to both domestic and foreign tourists.

Digital Convenience

To streamline the process, the Tourism Department is developing dedicated software for online ticket bookings. The fee structure is said to be people-friendly, and a portion of the revenue will support the department's tourism initiatives.

Strict ID checks, mapped routes

Tourists must carry a valid government-issued identity card for entry and comply with security protocols laid down by the Deputy Commissioner of Police and Vidhan Soudha Security. Clear signages and route maps will be installed across the premises to assist visitors, and emphasis is placed on maintaining cleanliness and protecting the building and its surroundings.

Emergency Services in Place

To ensure safety and convenience, the Health Department will provide ambulances with trained medical teams during visiting hours. Additionally, the Fire Department has made arrangements for emergency response in case of fire or other incidents.

The Karnataka government has urged all tourists to respect the heritage structure and help maintain its dignity and cleanliness during their visit.
