Six Arrested In Tumakuru Hate Crime Linked To Rihan Pasha's Murder
In a tragic incident in Tumakuru city, a 20-year-old man named Rihan Pasha met a violent end, allegedly due to a hate crime rooted in a love triangle. The event unfolded late Friday night at Maraluru Dinne, leading to the arrest of six individuals connected to the crime by Saturday, as stated by police officials. Rihan's demise has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangerous extents to which personal vendettas can escalate.
The attackers, identified as Sadiq Pasha, Mujahid Pasha, Abbas, Dastgir, Imran, and Yousuf, range in age from 19 to 24. They reportedly lured Rihan from his residence under deceitful circumstances. Once he was outside, they ambushed him, with Sadiq Pasha inflicting a lethal stab wound to Rihan's abdomen, as detailed in the complaint lodged by Rihan's brother, Ayan Pasha. The assailants fled immediately after the attack, leaving Rihan to succumb to his injuries.

The heart of this heinous act lies in a complicated relationship involving Rihan and a 15-year-old girl, who is related to one of the assailants, Mujahid. It appears that a deep-seated animosity had been brewing over Rihan's connection with the young girl, culminating in a violent confrontation a week prior to the attack. According to the victim's family, the girl played a pivotal role in instigating the fatal assault on Rihan.
Circle Inspector B Purushotham, leading the investigation, remarked, "This incident is a result of a hate crime. The accused conspired to kill Rihan because of his association with the girl, who is related to one of them. Despite warnings to stay away, Rihan maintained contact with her, enraging the group. They planned and executed this brutal act as a form of retaliation." This statement underscores the depth of the accused's resentment towards Rihan's involvement with the girl, which ultimately led to his untimely death.
Following the autopsy conducted at Tumakuru district hospital, Rihan's body was returned to his grieving family. The incident has sparked a thorough investigation, with a case registered under Section 103 of the BNS Act for murder. Authorities are delving deeper into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, aiming to bring those responsible to justice and prevent such hate-driven crimes in the future.
