Special Bengaluru-Kerala Trains For Vishu-Summer Holidays: Check Dates, Timings, Stoppages

In light of the Vishu festival and the summer holidays, the Southern Railway has said that it will introduce two special trains to clear extra rush during this period.

Date, Timings

The summer special train schedule between Kochuveli and Bengaluru is as follows: Train number 06083 will leave Kochuveli at 6.05 pm on eight consecutive Tuesdays starting today (April 9, 16, 23, and 30, and May 7, 14, 21, and 28), arriving at SMVT Bengaluru at 10.55 am the next day.

On the other hand, Train number 06084, the SMVT Bengaluru-Kochuveli Special, will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 12.45 pm on eight Wednesdays starting tomorrow (April 10, 17, and 24, and May 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29), reaching Kochuveli at 6.45 am the following day.

The advance booking of tickets has started.

Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Summer Special Train

Train number 06597 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 11 pm every Friday for a total of 10 trips scheduled on April 12, 19 & 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31, and June 7 & 14.

It will arrive at Kalaburagi at 9.05 am. Correspondingly, train number 06598 will depart from Kalaburagi at 5.10 pm on Saturdays for 10 trips scheduled on April 13, 20 & 27, May 4, 11, 18 & 25, and June 1, 8 & 15. This train is expected to reach SMVT Bengaluru at 4.15 am.

The trains will make stops at Anantapur, Yelahanka, Guntakal, Dharmavaram, Raichur, Adoni, Mantrayalam Road, Yadgir, and Shahabad. Each train will consist of 20 coaches, with 10 designated as non-AC sleeper class.

Meanwhile, the Chennai Division of the Southern Railway on Tuesday announced special train services to accommodate the increased summer rush, extending operations until the end of May.

The Train No. 06070 Tirunelveli Chennai Egmore Special will depart from Tirunelveli at 6.45 pm on Thursdays, specifically on April 11, 18, 25, and May 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, arriving at Chennai Egmore at 8.30 am the following day, offering a total of eight services.

Conversely, the Train No. 06069 Chennai Egmore - Tirunelveli Special will depart from Chennai Egmore at 3 pm on Fridays, scheduled for May 12, 19, 26, and June 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, with an arrival time at Tirunelveli at 7.10 am the next day, also offering a total of eight services.
