Spandana Vijay Raghavendra Cremated In Bengaluru As Fans, Friends Bid Adieu To Actor

The funeral of Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra's wife Spandana was held today (August 9) at 4 pm at Harishchandra Ghat in Srirampur.

The funeral proceedings began at 12:30 pm and concluded by 1:30 pm. Following that, the family performed prayers at her father BK Shivaram's residence in Malleshwaram. At 2 pm, the body was transported to Harishchandra Ghat.

A large number of fans, friends, and family members gathered to pay their respects to Spandana. Many celebrities, including Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, actress Sudhararani, senior actor Srinath, as well as politicians Kumar Bangarappa, UT Khader, and Sunil Kumar, were also present.

Vijay Raghavendra was seen inconsolable as he bid farewell to his wife. He was supported by his family and friends as he mourned her loss.

A separate area was designated for public viewing, offering an opportunity to bid farewell until 2 pm in Malleshwaram.

Spandana passed away on August 7 in Bangkok, where she was on a trip with her cousins and friends. She was 39 years old. The cause of her death has not been officially announced, but it is believed that she suffered a heart attack.

On August 8, at 11:30 pm, Vijay Raghavendra brought Spandana's body to the Bengaluru airport. Subsequently, the body was taken directly to B.K. Shivaram's residence in Malleswaram, where arrangements for public viewing were made.

Notable figures such as Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, actress Sudhararani, senior actor Srinath, as well as politicians Kumar Bangarappa, UT Khader, and Sunil Kumar, paid their tributes to Spandana.

Expressing his condolences, Raghavendra Rajkumar, another actor, conveyed his difficulty in witnessing the sorrow faced by actor Vijay Raghavendra and the Spandana family. "I don't know how to react. May God provide the Spandana family with the strength to cope with their grief," Raghavendra Rajkumar shared.

Vijay Raghavendra had married Spandana, the daughter of retired police officer B.K. Shivaram. The couple has a son named Shourya and a daughter. Tragically, Spandana passed away from a heart attack during a trip to Bangkok with her cousins and friends last week.

Tragically, Spandana and Vijay were on the brink of celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary on August 26. Vijay Raghavendra and Spandana had tied the knot on 26th August 2007, and together they were blessed with a son named Shourya and a daughter.
