Obscene Videos In Prajwal Revanna Case Verified As 'Original' By FSL

Prajwal Revanna, son of JD(S) MLA and former minister HD Revanna, and grandson of JD(S) patriarch and ex-prime minister HD Deve Gowda, was arrested on May 31 in a sexual assault case. The 33-year-old was detained at Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport after arriving from Munich, Germany.

In a significant development, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report confirmed that explicit videos featuring Prajwal Revanna are genuine. The report submitted to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) stated that the videos were neither animated nor edited. This contradicts Revanna's claim that the videos were morphed.

Prajwal Revanna's Legal Troubles

Revanna allegedly fled to Germany in late April after several obscene videos involving him circulated on social media. These videos emerged just before the polling in Hassan, Karnataka, on April 26. At that time, Revanna was seeking re-election for his Lok Sabha seat, which he eventually lost.

The SIT had sent the videos to FSL to verify their authenticity. According to the FSL report, the physical attributes of the person in the videos closely match those of Prajwal Revanna. This finding has further complicated his legal situation.

Multiple Allegations

So far, three cases of sexual assault have been registered against Prajwal. The first case was filed on April 28 by a 47-year-old former maid. She accused Prajwal and his father of sexually harassing her and her daughter while they worked in their household between 2019 and 2022.

The woman levelled serious allegations against both men after explicit videos involving Prajwal surfaced online. Despite these accusations, Revanna has denied all charges and maintained that the viral videos were doctored.

Revanna's arrest marks a significant turn in this high-profile case. As investigations continue, more details are expected to emerge about his alleged involvement in these crimes.
