Prajwal Revanna Knocks SC Door For Bail In Multiple Rape Cases After Karnataka HC Junks His Plea
After being denied bail by the Karnataka High Court in two rape cases, former MP Prajwal Revanna has appealed to the Supreme Court, which is set to hear his petition on Monday.
On October 21, the High Court rejected Revanna's bail application related to two rape cases and an additional charge of recording a video of sexual harassment.

Revanna, grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda and nephew of Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy, is also facing another separate rape case.
The cases against him were initiated in April, following allegations by several women claiming the then-MP had coerced them into sexual acts, which were then recorded on video.
Revanna's legal team has challenged the High Court's decision at the Supreme Court, with a hearing scheduled for Monday.
On April 23, just days before the election in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, videos surfaced showing Prajwal Revanna allegedly assaulting multiple women. Revanna, who was a candidate for Janata Dal Secular (JDS) in Hassan, departed for Germany on April 27, a day after voting concluded.
In response, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate the allegations, and a Blue Corner notice was issued to help locate Revanna.
However, he remained out of reach until he returned to India on May 31, following appeals and warnings from HD Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy.
He subsequently lost the Hassan election, with results declared on June 4 showing a margin of over 40,000 votes. He was also suspended from the JDS.
