The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) runs Bangalore Metro aka Namma Metro meaning "Our Metro in Kannada" is the lifeline of India's IT capital Bangalore. According to the reports, currently only Phase 1 Bangalore metro is operational, while Phase 2 is under construction and Phase 3 is under deliberation. The Bengaluru Metro network is spread over the city covering 42.3 km with 51 metro stations.

Reports suggest that over five lakh people commute daily through the metro, which eases the lives of the people of the city. Metro trains run on the ground, underground, and over flyovers with six coaches.

Namma Metro: Know Bangalore Metro Timings and Fare:

Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) tries to provide Bangalore metro services daily in 4-5 minutes between every metro. The BMRCL has fixed Bangalore metro train timings from 5 am to 11 pm during the weekdays, and from 6 am to 10:30 pm on the second and fourth Saturdays, and public holidays.
The BMRCL has a fixed minimum fare of Rs 10 and a maximum fare of Rs 45 for traveling in the Bangalore Metro.

Namma Metro: Know Bangalore Metro Line and Stations:

1. Purple Line

The Purple Line was the first operational Namma metro in the city started under phase 1 with 37 stations and 4 interchanges.

Whitefield, Channasandra, Kadugodi, Pattandur Agrahara, Sri Sathya Sai Hospital, Nallurhalli, Kundalahalli, Sitharama Palya, Hoodi Junction, Garudacharapalya, Mahadevapura, Krishnarajapuram, Benniganahalli, Baiyappanahalli, Swami Vivekananda Road, Indiranagar, Halasuru, Trinity, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Cubbon Park (Sri Chamarajendra Park), Dr. BR Ambedkar Station (Vidhana Soudha), Sir M. Visveshwaraya Station, Central College, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station, Majestic, Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station, Madagi Road, Balagangadharanatha Swamiji Station, Hosahalli, Vijayanagara, Attiguppe, Deepanjali Nagara, Mysuru Road, Nayandahalli, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Jnanabharathi, Pattanagere, Kengeri Bus Terminal, and Challaghatta.

2. Green line
The Bangalore metro's Green Line covers 29 stations with a length of 31kms. It runs through Madavara, Chikkabidarakallu, Manjunathanagara, Nagasandra, Dasarahalli, Jalahalli, Peenya Industry, Peenya, Goraguntepalya, Yeshwanthpura, Sandal Soap Factory, Mahalakshmi, Rajajinagara, Mahakavi Kuvempu Road, Srirampura, Sampige Road, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station, Majestic, Chikpete, Krishna Rajendra Market, National College, Lalbagh Botanical Garden, South End Circle, Jayanagar, Rashtreeya, Vidyalaya Road, Banashankari, Jaya Prakash Nagar, Yelachenahalli, Konanakunte Cross, Doddakallasandra, Vajarahalli, Thalaghattapura, Silk Institute.

3. Yellow Line
BMRCL's yellow line is under construction and will run for 18 km from Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road to Bommasadra. There are 16 stations expected to be made in this line.

4. Blue line

The Blue Line metro will be Bangalore's airport metro line connecting Kasturi Nagar to the city airport. Namma Metro Blue Line will cover 58.19 km with 30 stations, said reports.

5. Pink Line
The Nagawara to Gottigerre stations will be connected by the Pink Line metro. It will have 18 stations.

6. Orange line
Bangalore metro will develop the Orange line in Phase 3 to connect two lines - Phase 2A and Phase 3A at a single station.
