KSR Bengaluru to Chennai: Special Trains Scheduled on October 18, 21, 25 for Diwali Passenger Rush

To manage the increased passenger traffic during the Diwali festival, South Western Railway has planned special express trains between KSR Bengaluru and Dr. MGR Chennai Central stations. Train number 06255 will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 8:05 AM on October 18, 21, and 25, reaching Dr. MGR Chennai Central by 2:45 PM the same day.

The return journey is covered by train number 06256, which leaves Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 4:30 PM on the same dates and arrives at KSR Bengaluru by 10:45 PM. This arrangement aims to provide convenience for travelers during the festive season.

Train Stops and Facilities

On its route, train number 06255 will halt at several stations including Yeshvantpur, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Thiruvallur, and Perambur. The return train will stop at Thiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet, Krishnarajapuram, and Yeshvantpur.

The special express trains are equipped with various coaches to accommodate passengers comfortably. They include eleven general second-class coaches, one AC chair car, one AC three-tier coach, four second-class sitting coaches, and two SLRD coaches.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure smooth travel for those celebrating Diwali. By providing additional services on these specific dates, South Western Railway hopes to alleviate congestion and enhance passenger experience during this busy period.
