Karnataka YuvaNidhi Scheme: How To Apply, Eligibility And Other Details
Days ago, the Karnataka government announced that it will implement five major poll promises, without any discrimination of caste or religion, within this financial year.
The Congress had promised to implement the 'guarantees' - 200 units of free power to all households (Gruha Jyoti), Rs 2,000 monthly assistance to the woman head of every family (Gruha Lakshmi), 10 kg of rice free to every member of a BPL household (Anna Bhagya), Rs 3,000 every month for unemployed graduate youth and Rs 1,500 for unemployed diploma holders (both in the age group of 18-25) (YuvaNidhi), and free travel for women in public transport buses (Shakti) on coming to power.

Of the five promises, YuvaNidhi scheme attracted youths as it promises to give money to unemployed graduates. So, what is the scheme all about? How to avail?
Know All About YuvaNidhi Scheme
As per the government order, unemployed graduates will receive 3,000 rupees and 1,500 rupees will be given to diploma graduates for 24 months if they do not get a job even after six months of passing in the current academic year. It has to be noted that they will start receiving the money once they find a job.
The order issued on Saturday stated that if they hide their employment status, they will have to face penalties from the government. "In case the beneficiary gets a job before two years, the assistance will stop. Those who fail to declare and continue to avail the benefit will be penalised," the order said.
The scheme excludes individuals who have enrolled for higher education, individuals receiving apprentice salary, and individuals employed in either the government or private sector. Additionally, those who are self-employed through loans obtained from state and central schemes or banks are also deemed ineligible, the notification added.

- Rs 1500 for unemployed diploma holders.
