Kannada Actor Darshan Likely To Secure Bail In Murder Case, Wife Books Helicopter For Swift Departure

In a significant development in the ongoing murder case of Renuka Swamy, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is reportedly on the verge of securing bail, according to TV9 reports. This news comes as his wife has made arrangements for a helicopter to facilitate a swift departure once he is released from Bellary Jail.

It must be noted that actor Darshan had filed a bail application after spending over 100 days in jail. His legal team has been actively working to secure his release, with a motion for bail submitted last Saturday. The 57th Sessions Court initially adjourned the hearing to September 23 and has now pushed it to September 27.

Darshan, who has been under scrutiny since the murder of Swamy, is expected to receive bail following a hearing scheduled for later this week. Legal experts suggest that the actor's legal team has been diligently working to build a strong case for his release, emphasizing the lack of concrete evidence against him.

The case has garnered considerable media attention, with many speculating about the actor's involvement. However, supporters of Darshan maintain his innocence, arguing that he has been wrongly implicated in the murder.

Darshan to Travel to Bengaluru by Helicopter?

As Kannada actor Darshan awaits a possible release from Bellary jail, concerns are rising regarding the logistics of his return to Bengaluru. With thousands of fans eager to see him, traveling by road may prove challenging, prompting discussions about using a helicopter for his swift arrival.

Plans are reportedly in place to facilitate a direct helicopter transfer to avoid overwhelming road congestion and ensure a smooth welcome from his devoted supporters.

Meanwhile, an old video of Darshan from when he left jail in 2011 is going viral on social media.

Renukaswamy, a devoted fan of actor Darshan, was tragically murdered following his derogatory comments on social media regarding Pavithra Gowda. In connection with the case, both Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, along with several others, have been arrested.

In a related development, Income Tax officials issued a notice to Darshan on Tuesday, requesting to inspect documents at his residence. They also visited Bellary Jail to record his statement regarding funds allegedly linked to the crime.

Darshan is accused of paying ₹30 lakh to certain individuals to cover up the crime and take the blame on his behalf. Investigations into the murder have revealed that he borrowed ₹40 lakh from a friend to pay off the other accused in an attempt to destroy evidence related to the case. The actor has reportedly confessed to this during his statement to the police.

Meanwhile, three individuals arrested in the case have been granted conditional bail, with murder charges against them dropped.

The body of 33-year-old Renukaswamy was discovered near Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru on June 9. The post-mortem report indicated multiple bruise marks, a missing ear, and ruptured testicles. It further stated that he had been attacked with wooden clubs and died from "shock and hemorrhage due to multiple blunt injuries sustained." Images obtained by India Today TV from the crime branch show extensive bruising on Renukaswamy's back, arms, and chest.

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested on June 11 for his alleged role in the murder case. In addition to him, Pavithra Gowda and 15 others were also taken into custody.
