Hassan Sex Scandal: Man Who Leaked Prajwal Revanna's Video Is In Malaysia, Says HD Kumaraswamy

Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday accused DK Shivakumar and DK Suresh of sending Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna's former driver Karthik to Malaysia.

"Where is the man who released the video yesterday making allegations against Revanna? Did he make those claims at a press meet? Karthik said that he had given the video to BJP leader Devaraje Gowda. Today, these "420 brothers" (DK Shivakumar and DK Suresh) alleged that I might have leaked and claimed that Devaraj had first met me,"

"Now I have come to know that the man is in Malaysia. Who has sent him there? Why did he make the video from Malaysia?" he questioned.

On Monday, Revanna's former driver Revanna said that he had shared the clips only with Devaraje Gowda, who had promised to get him justice.

"I do not know whether he (Gowda) distributed the pen drive or gave it to someone else for the purpose or BJP people did it. But, I did not give the pen drive to anyone else except him. Now, he is blaming me for giving it to Congress leaders. If I were to give it to Congress leaders, why would I approach him for justice?" Karthik said in the video.

He stated that he would provide all the documents pertaining to the case to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) established by the Karnataka government to look into the matter.

Earlier, the BJP leader informed reporters that Karthik had told to him that he had handed over the pen drive containing videos to D K Shivakumar along with other Congress leaders.

The JDS on Tuesday suspended its Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna from the party over allegations of sexual abuse as the political slugfest over the alleged involvement of the NDA Lok Sabha candidate in sleaze video scandal escalated with the BJP launching a fierce counter-attack against the Congress for delayed action in the case by the Karnataka government.

Prajwal is the BJP-JD(S) alliance's candidate from Hassan, which went to the polls on Friday.

However, after Prajwal's suspension, Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar engaged in a war of words over the allegations with the JD (S) chief accusing Shivakumar of hatching the conspiracy of circulating the videos in public and then setting up the SIT to probe into the matter.
