Electronic City techie rape case: 'Abandoned bike' leads to the arrest of accused

gc
Bangalore, June 11: In the shocking rape case of 25-year-old Jharkhand- based techie, the accused was arrested on Wednesday.

According to a report, the accused has been identified as 28 yearold Shivarama Reddy, who is also a serial offender in cases like molestation and robbery.

Surprisingly, Srinivas Reddy, the owner of the PG accommodation, where the victim was staying, tried to destroy the evidence by cleaning the blood stains in her room.

That's why, he has also been taken to police custody.

An abandoned Hero Honda Passion motorbike led the Electronic City police to crack the rape case, as Shivarama fled the PG in panic, leaving behind the bike, that he had allegedly borrowed from one of his relative.

Meanwhile, the victim, who is recuperating in a hospital has also identified the rapist.

Reddy holds a criminal track record as he had earlier spent days behind bars for keeping a tab on girls' PG and harassing them.
