Bosch Employees At Lakkasandra Campus To Benefit From New Underground Walkway Linking Namma Metro Pink Line

Bosch, the technology and services giant, has entered an agreement with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to construct a walkway connecting its Lakkasandra campus and Bengaluru's Namma Metro, aiming to improve connectivity between the two.

The BMRCL announced the signing of a Connectivity agreement, stating, "BMRCL and M/s Bosch Limited have signed an agreement to create a direct link from the concourse level of Lakkasandra Underground Metro Station to the Bosch premises through an underground walkway for a duration of thirty (30) years."

With 12,000 employees at its Lakkasandra campus, Bosch aims to establish direct access from the metro station, falling within the Pink Line of Namma Metro. This initiative seeks to allow Bosch employees direct entry to the campus without having to cross the road. BMRCL will oversee the infrastructure development, funded by M/s Bosch Ltd. This marks the first such collaboration on the Reach 6 Metro Line from Kalena A to Nagawara, according to the announcement.

Similarly, Swedish furniture conglomerate IKEA has recently introduced a dedicated foot over bridge at Nagasandra metro station, offering metro users direct access to its store in Bengaluru. IKEA highlighted that the bridge was constructed to ensure the convenience and safety of customers traveling from various parts of the IT capital to the store.

IKEA has set sights on drawing nearly five million visitors annually, planning an investment of ₹3,000 crore in Karnataka. Spanning over 12.2 acres, the IKEA Nagasandra store reportedly showcases more than 7,000 meticulously designed home furnishing products and boasts over 65 exquisitely crafted room sets.
