Bengaluru Weather Forecast: When Will The Monsoon Hit Garden City?
The wait for monsoon relief in Bengaluru is almost over! The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts the southwest monsoon will reach Karnataka by the first week of June, with Bengaluru seeing rain by June 13th or 14th at the latest. However, the arrival could be delayed by a surprise cyclone forming in the Bay of Bengal.
As reported by The Times of India, the monsoon has already reached the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Senior meteorologist CS Patil anticipates the monsoon hitting Kerala's coast by June 1st or 2nd, then reaching the Karnataka coast on June 6th or 7th, before spreading inland by June 14th.

While Bengaluru has experienced a dry spell recently, Patil expects pre-monsoon showers to return by the month's end, with the full monsoon arriving in the city by the second week of June.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is already preparing for potential monsoon challenges, including flooding and waterlogging. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, alongside DK Shivakumar, inspected flood-prone areas on Wednesday and instructed officials to be ready for any monsoon-related situations.
