Bengaluru Traffic Alert: Millers Road Cantonment Area Closed For 9 Hours, New Routes Announced
In light of a public gathering scheduled at Eidgah Quddus Ground in Bengaluru on November 24, from 2:00 pm until 11:30 pm, traffic regulations will be strictly enforced in the vicinity to manage the anticipated influx of around 200,000 attendees. The event, taking place on Millers Road within the jurisdiction of the Pulakeshinagar Traffic Police Station, necessitates these restrictions to facilitate a smooth traffic flow and ensure public safety throughout the duration of the meeting.
With the temporary traffic restrictions in place, vehicles will not be allowed to travel in either direction between the Millers Road Cantonment Railway under Bridge and the Haines Road Junction. This also extends to the route from Haines Road Junction back to Millers Road Cantonment Railway Under Bridge. Furthermore, traffic flow will be halted both ways from Nandidurga Road and Benson Cross Road Junction up to Millers Road Junction, where the event is located.

To minimize disruptions, alternate routes have been outlined for motorists. For those moving from Millers Road to Haines Road, a detour via Cantonment Road towards Bamboo Bazar Junction and then onto Netaji Road towards Pulakeshinagar is recommended. Meanwhile, travelers heading from Haines Road to Millers Road are advised to use Dhankoti Road from Haines Road Junction, proceeding through AM Road to Bamboo Bazar, then onto Cantonment Road towards Queens Road-Thimmayya Road and Jayamahal Road. Additionally, those going from Nandi Durga Road to Haines Road should take a left at Nandidurga Road - Benson Cross Road, proceed straight to Benson Cross Road, turn left at Bore Bunk Road, continue straight to Pottery Junction, and then turn right to reach Pulakeshinagar.
Parking will also be restricted at several locations including Millers Road, Nandidurga Road, Haines Road, Netaji Road, Cantonment Road, St John's Church Road, MM Road, and HM Road to prevent congestion. However, designated parking areas have been identified, such as the Circus Ground in Palace Grounds, Jayamahal BBMP Ground, Kamalambi School Ground, East Football Ground, Charles Ground, Gate no-C Chamara Vajra in Palace Grounds, Mount Carmel College ground, Clarence Ground, and Annaswamy Ground, to accommodate the vehicles of attendees.
