Bengaluru Shocker: Man Arrested for Sexually Abusing Stray Dog In Jayanagar

A 23-year-old daily wage worker was arrested for sexually abusing a stray dog at Shalini Ground in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, early Friday morning.

A local animal feeder witnessed the incident, recorded video evidence, and promptly notified the police, according to The Free Press Journal.

The injured dog has since been rescued and is currently receiving medical treatment, while a case has been filed against the accused under applicable laws.

The suspect, a daily wage worker from Bihar, is alleged to have mutilated the dog's private parts and attempted unnatural sexual acts, leaving the animal in significant pain.

The animal feeder also reported that this was not the first time she had seen the man abusing stray dogs. She recalled a similar incident earlier in the month, but at that time, he managed to escape in an auto-rickshaw.

Determined to ensure accountability, she captured video evidence of the abuse and presented it to the authorities.

Following her complaint, the Jayanagar police have initiated legal action against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

In a related incident from January, a 35-year-old content creator from JP Nagar in Bengaluru was apprehended after allegedly running over a stray dog with his SUV and disposing of its body in a gunny bag.

The accused, identified as Manjunath Venkatesh, a resident of Shekhar Layout in JP Nagar VIII Phase, was arrested following a complaint from an animal rights activist.

The incident was captured on CCTV and shared widely on social media, showing Manjunath's Mahindra Thar running over the dog, which was lying on the road. The footage sparked outrage online, with many calling for prompt action against him.
