Bengaluru Hotel Explosion 'Seems To Be Clear Case Of Bomb Blast': MP Tejasvi Surya
Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya has claimed that the explosion at the Rameshwaram Cafe on Friday seems to be a "clear case of bomb blast".
The BJP leader said that he spoke to the founder of the restaurant who informed him that a bag left by the customer led to the explosion.

"Just spoke to Rameshwaram Café founder Sri Nagaraj about the blast in his restaurant. He informed me that the blast occurred because of a bag that was left by a customer and not any cylinder explosion. One of their employees is injured," Surya said on X (formerly Twitter).
He further added, It's seems to be a clear case of bomb blast.Bengaluru demands clear answers from CM @siddaramaiah."
Between 12.55 and 1.05 pm, there was an explosion inside the hotel located in Kundalahalli in Whitefield. At least, five people have been injured in the incident.

However, the bomb squad has arrived at the spot.
Speaking to reporters, the Whitefield Fire Station said, "We received a call that a cylinder blast occurred in the Rameshwaram cafe. We reached the spot and we are analysing the situation."
Rameshwaram Cafe has several outlets including in JP Nagar. Bollywood actor Karthik Aryan had visited one of its branches, last week, and hailed the food prepared here. He also posted pictures from the restaurant.
An eyewitness has told a Kannada news channel that a loud noise was heard. Mohan said, We heard the noise. When we came to the spot, we saw people moving out of the hotel. I also saw women soaked in blood. I think two people are seriously injured and at least 10 injured.
Authorities stated that they are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.
As per the reports in TV9 Kannada, the injured are being treated at a nearby hospital.
Senior BJP leader Basanagouda R Patil (Yatnal) has demanded investigation into the incident by the National Investigation Agency. He has claimed that the blast occurred because of a bag that was left by a customer and not any cylinder explosion.
