Bengaluru Horror: 28-Year-Old Bangladeshi Woman Brutally Raped And Murdered
In Bengaluru, a tragedy unfolded as a 28-year-old woman of Bangladeshi origin, residing with her husband and three children, fell victim to a heinous crime. Employed in household work in Kalkere, she was known for her daily commute, either by BMTC bus or on foot, maintaining a routine that saw her leave home at 8 am and return by 3 pm. Her disappearance sparked concern when she failed to return from work one Thursday afternoon, prompting her husband to notify several local police stations.
The distressing discovery of her body in a desolate area near Kalkere Lake revealed a grim tale of sexual assault and murder. Authorities, informed by passersby the following morning, learned that the victim had been attacked, strangled with a veil, and killed with a stone. Joint Commissioner of Police, East Division, Ramesh Bhanot, confirmed that a murder and sexual assault investigation was launched based on the husband's complaint.

The victim's husband, having migrated to India legally, contrasted with the deceased, who is believed to have entered the country without proper documentation. Despite this, she had been working in the city for six years. The proximity of the crime scene, about two kilometers from her workplace, coupled with CCTV footage, has provided crucial leads. Authorities, including Eastern Division DCP D. Devaraj and forensic experts, have closely examined the scene, confident in a swift apprehension of the culprit.
Further scrutiny into the victim's last known activities revealed she had been walking with friends from her workplace, only to depart abruptly after receiving a phone call. This detail has led investigators to delve into her mobile communications, extending inquiries to her husband and brother for additional information.
This incident has not only shaken the local community but has also drawn attention to the challenges faced by migrants and the importance of safety measures for workers in the city. The commitment by law enforcement to resolving this case offers a glimmer of hope for justice, marking a crucial step in addressing the broader issues of crime and security in urban areas.
