Bengaluru CEO Suchana Seth's Domestic Violence Case Hearing Deferred: Next Date Set For April
A Bengaluru court adjourned a domestic violence case filed by Suchana Seth, the CEO accused of killing her son in Goa, after she failed to appear for the hearing on Monday. The case, currently in the evidence stage, was postponed to April for the petitioner's evidence.
Seth, arrested for her son's murder on January 8, had filed the domestic violence case in August 2022 against her husband, Venkataraman, alleging physical abuse towards her and the child. Venkataraman, present in court with his lawyer, denied the accusations.

The domestic violence case, reportedly linked to ongoing divorce and custody proceedings, initially imposed restrictions on Venkataraman's contact with their son. These restrictions were later eased by a family court.
Seth's petition sought maintenance of Rs 2.5 lakh per month. The couple, who met and married in the early 2010s, had lived separately since March 2021, according to Seth, citing fear of violence. She provided evidence like WhatsApp messages and medical records to support her claims.
In September 2023, the court ordered Venkataraman to pay Rs 20,000 monthly maintenance, which he reportedly complied with until November.
