Air Show to Impact Daily Life in Bengaluru
Aero India 2025, Asia's largest air show, will witness a massive influx of dignitaries, defense personnel, and aviation enthusiasts from across the world. Given the scale of the event, authorities have taken precautionary measures to ensure smooth operations and public safety.
- College Closures: The Education Department has advised the suspension of classes in government first-class and private aided colleges near Yelahanka.
- Flight Disruptions: Passenger flights at Kempegowda International Airport will be temporarily halted during the air show hours.
- Meat Sale Ban: The BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) has imposed a 26-day ban on meat sales within a 13 km radius of the Yelahanka Air Force Station. Violators will face legal action under the BBMP Act 2020 and Aircraft Rules 1937.
With just days to go, preparations at Yelahanka Air Base are in full swing. Several fighter jets, helicopters, and aircraft have already arrived, with more warplanes expected from across the globe. The highlight of the event will be the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, known for their breathtaking aerial maneuvers.
As Bengaluru gears up for this grand aviation spectacle, residents and businesses in the vicinity must brace for temporary disruptions.
