4-Year-Old Girl In Critical Condition After Falling From School Terrace In Kalyan Nagar

A 4-year-old student of Delhi Pre-School in Chellikere, Kalyan Nagar, northeast Bengaluru, remains in critical condition after falling from the terrace of the school building. Gienna Ann Jitto is the daughter of Jitto Tommy Joseph and Benitta, who work in the IT sector and hail from Manimala in Kottayam.

Currently on life support at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Aster CMI Hospital in Hebbal, the child's parents, deeply concerned, have filed a complaint with the Chief Minister and Education Minister, urging an investigation into the incident.

The school authorities informed the parents that Gienna hit her head on the wall while playing on Monday afternoon. Upon reaching the school, the parents found that their child had already been taken to the hospital. However, relatives claim that doctors believe the child's critical injuries are consistent with a fall from a height, suspected to be from the second-floor terrace.

Despite the police summoning the school's Principal, Thomas, a native of Changanassery, for questioning, he is currently unreachable, with his mobile phone switched off. Unfortunately, the investigation is further complicated by the absence of CCTV footage, as the school's camera system is reported to be non-functional during these days.
