Google Offers AI Pro Plan Worth ₹19,500 For Indian Students For Free

Google has introduced a complimentary one-year subscription to its AI Pro plan for Indian students aged 18 and above. Announced on 15 July, this offer grants access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model and other AI tools. Students can utilise features like Deep Research with Gemini 2.5 Pro, NotebookLM, and Veo 3 in Gemini and Flow. Additionally, the plan includes 2 TB of Google Cloud storage.

The usual cost of this annual plan is ₹19,500, but it is now free for eligible students. To benefit from this offer, students must register by September 15, 2025. More details about eligibility and registration are available on the official offer page.

AI Model Performance

Gemini 2.5 Pro is Google's leading AI model known for its deep research and reasoning abilities. It excels in various benchmark evaluations. On the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, which assesses performance across seven fields like maths and coding, Gemini 2.5 Pro scored 70 points. OpenAI's o3-pro followed with 71 points, while xAI's Grok 4 led with 73 points.

Google highlighted that a report shows 95% of Indian students using Gemini feel more confident daily. "We're already seeing students use the Gemini app for diverse use cases, from understanding complex topics and preparing for job interviews to sparking creative ideas," said the company.

The initiative aims to empower students by providing them with advanced AI tools to enhance their learning experience and creativity. Google's mission is to equip every student with the necessary resources to advance their education.

Recently, Google updated NotebookLM and introduced "Featured Notebooks." These are curated collections developed in collaboration with authors, researchers, publishers, and nonprofits.
