India to induct 32 warships in 10 years

Speaking at a seminar, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral Anup Singh said, "out of the 32 ships, 3 are being built in Russia and 2 in Italy. The remaining 27 are being built in India."
Admiral Singh said the warships "to be inducted in the service within a decade which include corvettes, frigates and destroyers."
The officer said at present five Kilo-class or Sindhughosh, submarines and a Foxtrot submarine were deployed in the eastern coast, and where as in the west coast the navy had deployed five Sindhughosh and four German KSS submarines.
